# Chat with your creators

> Every video has a project chat with its creator.

Every video has a **project chat** with its creator. Chat is the fastest way to ask questions, give extra context, and solve problems — **start here for any issue or request** before taking other steps.

## Open the chat

* On the campaign page, open the **Actions** menu on a video and choose **Chat with creator**.
* On the video page, use the **Chat with creator** button.
* You can also open the [**Chats**](https://app.stllr.network/chats) page to see all conversations.

The chat includes you, the creator, and the members of your company team.

## When to use chat

| Situation | What to do |
| - | - |
| You have extra details, a new reference, or a clarification | Send it in the chat. |
| You want to check progress | Ask the creator for an update. |
| The creator asked for something | Answer in the chat so it is on record. |
| You changed the video brief | Tell the creator what changed. |
| The product is delayed or details changed | Update the creator. |
| Something went wrong | Describe it to the creator first and give them a chance to fix it. |

## Good chat habits

* Keep requests clear and polite. Creators respond faster to specific messages.
* Share feedback in the chat and also use **Reshoot request** or script changes on the page, so it is tracked.
* Do not share payment details or move the conversation off Stllr. Keeping everything in the chat protects both sides.

## What happens to the chat

If you change the creator, the old chat is archived and you start a new conversation with the new creator.
